On 19 - 21 June 2026 (very hot weekend) the Cubs and Scouts went to Thriftwood Scout Campsite for their summer camp.

Here's some photos and videos of our brave, resilient, funny, amazing Cubs (aged 8 - 10 years old).

https://www.braughingscouts.org.uk/news/article/national-volunteers-week

As part of National Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who give their time to help local young people learn, grow and thrive. Week by week, our volunteers empower young people to learn new skills for life and make new friends.

At 1st Braughing Scout Group, we’re looking for more adult volunteers to join our team. You don’t need previous Scouting experience, special skills, or lots of free time. Whether you can help every week, occasionally lend a hand, share a hobby, drive a minibus or support behind the scenes (eg as a trustee) , there’s a place for you.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, give back to your community, and make a genuine difference to young lives. We provide all the training and support you need, you show up, get stuck in, and help young people make memories for life.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, we’d love to hear from you. Send us a message or email contactbraughingscouts@gmail.com to find out more.
