Jaguar Scouts' Burns Night 2012


A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, author of many Scots poems. The suppers are normally held on or near the poet's birthday, 25 January, sometimes also known asRobert Burns Day or Burns Night (Burns Nicht), although they may in principle be held at any time of the year.

Jaguar Scouts on the marble run - 02 Dec 2011

Jaguar scouts made a track with foam to make a marble run as far as possible with stunts along the way.

On 4th November 2011, 13 scouts travelled by minibus to GlaxoSmithKline’s sports hall in Ware to climb the 25m climbing wall. Everyone had a turn at climbing and belaying from the newest scouts to the old timers (no not Jackie!).

Packing for an overnight camp

Jaguar Scouts brought along what they thought they would need for an overnight hike and camp.  Backpacks varied from 5ltr to 65ltr and the contents to match!

Our GSL parted some of his many years experience on the scouts and by the end of the evening they were more able to pack for an overnight hike and camp.  In plenty of time for what lies ahead......
