Jaguar Scouts at the climbing wall 2011

On 4th November 2011, 13 scouts travelled by minibus to GlaxoSmithKline’s sports hall in Ware to climb the 25m climbing wall. Everyone had a turn at climbing and belaying from the newest scouts to the old timers (no not Jackie!).

 

One new scout in particular impressed all the leaders; he was a bit scared and only climbed a little way up, but after a little rest and a pep talk he gave it another shot. Not only that, but he climbed straight to the top – and after that there was no stopping him! Facing your fears and overcoming them – that’s what being a scout is about.
