We meet/rehearse at the Standon & Puckeridge Community Centre early on Friday evenings.
The band was formed back in the late 1970's and today is the sole surviving scout and guide band in the county. We are a traditional marching band based in Standon & Puckeridge, and consist of one drum major, five side drummers, one base drummer, one tenor drummer, one cymbalist, three glockenspiel players, a saxophonist and five trumpet players. We are currently recruiting for all sections of the band and are open to scouts and guides aged 8-25 regardless of musical ability. The band regularly attend events and parades throughout the local areas including Ware Carnival, St.Georges and Remembrance day parades and Standon May Day.
